As a single parent in low paid employment, I always found it difficult to save. I began by saving £1 and increased monthly. As a result I was able to take my children on holiday every year, have savings available for emergencies and extra treats. I have been saving with Credit Union for over 20 years and always have savings now. Reviewed on: 5th July 2026
