I've been using PayPal Credit for over three years, and it has become my preferred way to finance larger purchases. I use it almost every month for higher-value items, particularly electronics and other planned purchases, as well as unexpected expenses such as car repairs. The four months of interest-free credit has been one of its biggest advantages for me. Because I budget my repayments around that period, I'm usually able to clear the balance before any interest is charged. Working shifts means my income and expenses can vary throughout the month, so having four months to spread the cost gives me flexibility without putting pressure on my finances. I have even enjoyed some longer interest free duration of up to 12-24 months on some partner merchant like eBay and Honor UK. The introduction of the PayPal Credit card made the service even better. Before that, I could only use PayPal Credit with a limited number of merchants, most of which were online like Honor, Apple, Dyson etc. Although there were workarounds, such as linking it to a Curve card, they relied on third-party services. Having a Mastercard linked directly to my PayPal Credit account has made it my preferred payment method for larger purchases because I can use it at far more retailers online and offline with confidence. I also like earning PayPal points when using the card. Whenever I'm considering a significant purchase, I compare my payment options, and PayPal Credit is often the one I choose, even when I have other credit cards available. It has also been particularly valuable during unexpected situations. On two separate occasions when my car needed urgent repairs, PayPal Credit allowed me to get the work done immediately and spread the cost over the following months without paying interest, which significantly reduced the financial stress at the time.
