I am extremely disappointed that London Capital Credit Union declined my loan application. As a single parent, I applied for the loan to help consolidate my existing debts so that I could better support my daughter as she prepares for university. The reason given for declining my application was that I did not provide sufficient evidence of affordability on the form. I struggle to understand how this is fair when the credit union has access to my bank account information and could reasonably assess my financial position from that data. I applied in good faith, hoping for support during a challenging time. Instead, I feel let down by a process that seems unnecessarily rigid and unsupportive. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not feel confident recommending London Capital Credit Union to others. Reviewed on: 9th July 2026
