WARNING TO ANYONE BUYING A CAR THROUGH ZUTO & AUTOLEND / LENDABLE I am writing this publicly because both Zuto (the broker) and AutoLend / Lendable Ltd (the finance lender) have formally REFUSED our legal right to reject a faulty vehicle, despite overwhelming evidence that the car is unfit for purpose and unroadworthy. We have now been stuck without a vehicle for 3 MONTHS while still being forced to pay monthly finance installments for a car sitting unusable in a yard. Here are the facts that neither Zuto nor AutoLend want the public to see: 1. The Law: Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Credit Act 1974, the finance company is legally responsible for the quality of the car. You cannot sell someone a vehicle that breaks down and wash your hands of it. 2. The Evidence: We provided full evidence, diagnostic reports, and proof of failure. Yet both Zuto and AutoLend have dragged their feet and ultimately refused our rejection. 3. The Human Impact: I am currently in a high-risk pregnancy. Because Zuto and AutoLend refuse to resolve this dispute or cancel the agreement, we have been left completely stranded. Just two weeks ago, I was forced to navigate multiple trains and taxis from Banbury to Oxford John Radcliffe Hospital for an urgent fetal heart scan for our baby—a journey that should have been a simple drive. To leave a heavily pregnant woman and her family with no working car, damaged credit, and 3 months of severe stress while continuing to take our money is disgraceful. We have officially escalated our case to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) for emergency priority escalation due to severe vulnerability and material detriment.
