Problem sorted

I don't use the internet, so made an appointment with H&R to open an ISA. But the afternoon before, another building society failed to produce the promised cheque of funds from a matured account which I needed for the investment. I had to accept an inter-bank transfer to my current account instead, and arrived in Rugby - 20 miles from home - the following day unsure whether the funds would have cleared. I was very pleased when Neil was able to suggest a couple of ways to deal with this which didn't involve another 20-mile trip! Reviewed on: 3rd September 2026
