The worst business decision you will make!

Opening an account with The Co-Operative Bank will simply be the worst business decision you will make! Please if there was ever any random advice that you listen to then please consider other banks are available. Their product (monthly and transaction fees) are expensive, if you need to speak to someone on telephone then good luck set aside some time in your schedule and use of the online/digital banking is a whole new adventure. It is shall we say primitive and despite a regular message of "Online banking will be down for scheduled maintenance this weekend" nothing ever improves and in fact as of writing following a failed maintenance they have locked everyone out of their accounts and the only way you can tell what money you have or to move/pay is to visit a branch or use telephone banking except the wait is over an hour. The experience is anything but Co-Operative and actually hand on heart having an account with them actually creates more hurdles for our business than it is worth. Reviewed on: 23rd September 2026
