WARNING: Stay away from Admiral! A disgraceful company

WARNING: Stay away from Admiral! A disgraceful corporate strategy to rip off loyal clients. Review: STAY AWAY FROM ADMIRAL AT ALL COSTS! I must emphasize that their frontline phone staff are exceptionally polite and professional, and they deserve absolute praise. However, this review is a direct condemnation of Admiral’s corporate management. I have a completely clean driving record with zero traffic violations, zero claims, and 2 years of hard-earned No Claims Discount (NCD). This is how they reward a customer's honesty and safe driving: by quietly slapping a shocking, unjustified price hike of nearly £200 onto the renewal! It is highly obvious that their business strategy deliberately targets customers with auto-renewal enabled. Management calculates that a large percentage of clients will simply forget their expiry date, allowing Admiral to automatically impose this ridiculous price increase. Once the automatic renewal goes through, they hiddenly rely on the strict terms and conditions of the contract to legally lock you in or charge heavy cancellation fees. To ensure you cannot easily escape this trap, they have intentionally blocked customers from opting out of auto-renewal via online chat, forcing you onto phone queues instead. While their wonderful frontline employees do an excellent job, the underlying corporate policies are anti-consumer and predatory. They do not value loyalty or a clean record; they just exploit forgetfulness. I have already moved my car insurance to a far superior competitor. I highly advise everyone to completely avoid signing any contract with Admiral. Reviewed on: 30th September 2026
