Extremely disappointed with the AA

1
Extremely disappointed with the AA – an accident from 2024 and still no proper resolution I am writing this review because I feel I have been completely let down by the AA and, after almost two years, I still do not have a proper resolution to my insurance claim. I was involved in an accident in 2024 which was not my fault. There was CCTV/video evidence of what happened and the third-party insurer accepted liability. Despite this, I have spent the last two years trying to get my claim dealt with properly. I have repeatedly had to chase the AA for information and progress. I have been passed between different teams and have struggled to get clear answers about what has actually happened to my claim. What is particularly concerning is that I understand my claim was closed by the AA on 23 December 2025, without me being informed that it had been closed. I was still trying to get the matter resolved. I do not understand how a claim can simply be administratively closed without the customer being properly informed, particularly when the underlying issues had not been resolved. I have also had issues regarding the way the fault position was dealt with, the valuation of my vehicle, payments, losses and other costs. I have raised complaints and asked specific questions, but I still feel that many of those questions have not been properly answered. Most recently, I received a Final Response from the AA offering £100 compensation. I have made it clear that I do not accept this as an adequate resolution. I am not looking for excuses or another generic response. I want someone within the AA to take ownership of what has happened, investigate the handling of my claim properly and be accountable for the way this matter has been dealt with. After nearly two years, I should not still be having to fight to get answers about an accident that was not my fault. Customers should be able to expect their insurer to communicate with them, keep them informed, deal with their claims properly and provide a clear route to resolution when things go wrong. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience with the AA. Reviewed on: 6th October 2026
