Con Merchants

Home Insurance with accidental damage to home and contents cover. Never claimed in over 30 years. Tv was damaged, back and forth between broker and insurance company and took 8 weeks to finally tell me not covered by the policy. Cancelled my direct debit, now been told to pay £95 in exit fees or will get debt recovery team involved and to top it off had an email which states I now have 1 claim despite the fact no payout. Con merchants, "You should have read your policy small print" was the quote. Disgusting way to treat a loyal customer. Reviewed on: 12th October 2026
