Brilliant Service

In 1918 I sold my house in the Republic of Ireland. I still had to look for and buy a house in England and lived with friends in the meantime. I needed to lodge the sale money somewhere and happened to come across an article about Currencies Direct so I rang them to find out more Bear in mind that I am a 76 year old ordinary member of the public who had had very little dealings with the world of finance. Also I was worried it was a scam. I took the precaution of looking up the firm and ensuring they were a registered company but I also spoke to Ellis at the firm. He took the time to explain how the differences in value between the Euro and sterling could be to my advantage as it was quite volatile at the time because of Brexit. I know that some friends were concerned as I am a widow, and I was advised to put my money in the bank, but I decided to take a chance and transferred the money (£246 after transferring to Sterling) to Currencies Direct. Ellis kept me posted as to the ups and downs of the exchange rates. The final decision as to when to sell had to be mine but that was also dictated by the fact that I found a house and I needed to pay for that house The whole process took approx 9 weeks and I made £6600+ in that time which basically paid for all the costs of buying the house such as legal costs -Surveyors-tax etc So to conclude I made the right decision and I feel I was always treated with courtesy and patience and am grateful for that Reviewed on: 4th January 2020
