A bank that works in the way you expect, and in ways you don't expect.

I was a fairly early adopter for Monzo, I got my account about 3 years ago now. I was a bit worried to put too much money into it at first, but it worked very well. Instant notifications on your phone, and fee free currency conversion were groundbreaking at the time. They got their FCC certification a while ago, so I've started using it as my main account; sure I have more money in my Nationwide accounts due to their interest rates and benefits, but it has replaced my Natwest account as my go to account for everyday transactions. The Monzo app, which is the most important component of Monzo (since it's your sole interaction with your account and money), is generally great. It's easy to use, everything is clear. I wish it would group bank accounts that you recieve/pay to by name automatically, but that's more or less it for what I'm wanting from the app. It's only been annoyingly buggy once, which was around mid last year, and it was fixed fairly quickly. Monzo is a bank that works like a 21st century bank should. Reviewed on: 19th January 2020
