nervous wreck

Ordered £2000 worth of South Africa over a week before we departed on our holidays. I paid for the rand by a bank transfer so direct from my account into there’s, three days later I got an email stating that my order was cancelled as no funds had been received , so panic ensued followed up by a phone call to the company only to told that no payment could be found. Next morning I went into town solely to get confirmation from my bank that payment had been sent and to the account provided which it most certainly was! After getting the bank manager to print and sign confirmation that payment was made. I emailed all the information from my bank to the company who replied that they would “look into it l After a whole afternoon I received another email saying that my payment was located and I would receive the currency the following day. No apologies or offer of compensation except for an email wanting a recommendation for the British banking awards. As for recommendation I strongly advise customers to read this email before risking your hard earned money. Reviewed on: 24th January 2020
