Best current account EVER

I tried Monzo after a friend and fellow-ADHDer recommended it. It has honestly helped to pull me out of a hole and manage my money better. I have tried EVERY app/account/trick out there to help with budgeting etc but nothing has worked…until now. When I get paid my money shoots off into little pockets. I pay certain bills from each pocket and so I know, as the month goes on, that I won’t run out of money for the important stuff. This hasn’t changed my spending mentality; I still want to spend all my money on complete tosh as soon as I get it BUT I am now in control and don’t end up with too much month left at the end of my money. I have had a transactional dispute with Monzo and the Customer Service person I spoke with via the chat facility was utterly woeful. I escalated the case and the team that looked into it after that have been fantastic and restored my faith in Monzo, therefore it wouldn’t seem fair to knock a star off for that. Life transforming!

Title sounds dramatic but it honestly has been life changing. I haven’t become ‘good’ with money overnight but I do now have savings. I know every penny in and out of my account. I love having a pocket of money to spend on groceries etc, it helps me to stay in control. I especially love that I don’t have to physically do or think about saving. Plum does it all for me. I recommend this app to literally everyone. I didn’t ever think I had enough money to save; last year I saved thousands. Baffling. Magical. Life-changing. Reviewed on: 14th June 2021
