Great interest on small(ish) savings

In spite of the £5/month fee this account is very good value, paying 3% on £2000 - £20,000. Communications are excellent, always respond within 24 hours and extra layers of security make me feel safer. Cash back on some of my DDs too, which more than pays for the account fee. Great if you like looking at your money, and safer than keeping it in a box under the bed.

Recently retired, I have a few thousand pounds from my lump sum left. I get better interest in my 123 current account than I could get anywhere else, and I do enjoy just looking at it every time I check online! I can easily check back to see if I'm saving or spending compared to the same day last month. Responses to online questions are prompt and helpful. It would be even better with a tool to categorise my spending and income though, so I could see where my money goes each month, and compare to other months. Reviewed on: 21st November 2015
