Review of the Mojo, Mortgage Broker:

Lengthy delay cost me lots of money

1
My fixed rate mortgage came to an end at the end of October. In August I contacted Mojo and based on their advice chose a New Barclays fixed rate mortgage. Right from the start I stressed that my current rate came to and end at the end of October and I wanted to start the new rate mortgage from then. Mojo requested -as expected - many documents which we supplied. Mojo returned them all in September. Beginning of October I chased Mojo to make sure wenwere on track for the new mortgage. Well, I found out we weren't. We were asked again to send all the documents that had been returned to us a few weeks previously - without any explanation. I can only assume that they messed up and never took copies or processed our documents. No apology either. In the end, we moved to our new mortgage at the end of January. For three months we were forced to be on the variable rate of our previous mortgage provider. Which cost us nearly an extra £2000 ( on a relatively small mortgage of £100 000). We have three properties and have often remortgaged, but have never dealt with any broker as useless as Mojo. Reviewed on: 4th February 2020
