Review of the Petplan, Pet insurance:

Expensive but worth every penny.

Lola is now 8 but we’ve had Petplan insurance for her since bringing her home. Each year the price goes up and it is very expensive. But because Lola is a cross breed susceptible to health issues we felt it was worth it. We have claimed numerous times without issues. The cat just takes our plan number and contacts them directly. I do not have to do anything. Petplan then keep me updated with the claim. Recently we had to claim for a specialist vet at a hospital which could have cost thousands of pounds but Petplan met all costs. My only negative is the monthly costs. Currently it is just under £100 per month and next year will go up again. But it does take the worry away. Reviewed on: 21st August 2026

Changes

Looking to now change banks as benefits and charges on Santander Accounts are reducing and increasing. Also local banks are closing making it difficult for face to face dealings. Reviewed on: 6th February 2020
