I have been a member for years .For many people .going in to a bank to apply for a loan can feel quite intimidating.Credit unions are more personal relaxed and more understanding of people's needs especially for people who under normal circumstances may not have a good credit history.They encourage saving regularly and borrowing wisely .The great thing about the credit union is when your loan is repaid your savings have increased because you've been encouraged to continue putting in a little each month.
