StepChange were absolutely fantastic when I was face...

StepChange were absolutely fantastic when I was faced with sorting out my husband's credit card/bank debt problem which had built up unknowingly during the onset and development of dementia. I was in despair when I discovered it and just didn't know what to do. They were sympathetic and were very patient and understanding during a 2 1/2 hour telephone conversation. Kept telling me not to worry and we could sort it out, they were truly wonderful. The debt management plan has now been in place for 4 1/2 years and has been faultless in its execution. In 18 months the debt should finally be paid off. The debt is being paid off at a rate which is affordable to us making allowance for all other household bills, payments and contingency plans. I am extremely grateful to StepChange and have no hesitation in recommending them in the highest possible way. Reviewed on: 15th May 2024

Transformed my life.

I was in despair after I discovered my husband, who had developed dementia, had not been paying his credit card bills and therefore racked up a huge debt with charges and interest. After struggling on my own for some time I went to StepChange and they were FANTASTIC - they assured me that we could create a debt management plan together, ‘please don’t worry’ they repeated. The DMP was achieved speedily and has been in place now for 8 months working seamlessly. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to StepChange, they have transformed my life. Reviewed on: 9th July 2020
