Review of the StepChange, Debt Management:

Weight has been lifted..

Initially the set up process took longer than expected which had me feeling worried that my application would not be processed. The hardest part was admitting that I had ran out of options and that a debt management plan was the best option or only real option to manage my personal debt. To face up and finally admit that I needed help was such a daunting feeling and I knew that my debt was effecting all aspects of my life. The first few months of my DMP taught me to budget my money and I am finally left with some money at the end of each month and has stopped me being an impulsive spender. I genuinely feel a weight has finally been lifted off my shoulders and I can now see a light at the end of the tunnel to getting rid of the debts that have caused so much anxiety over the years. My only regret is I didn’t do this years earlier as looking back my debt had got worse year on year.. I can not speak highly enough of Stepchange and its staff team, who helped me throughout the application process. I would recommend anyone who has concerns about their finances to access the Stepchange website to see what positive financial help and expertise is available. Reviewed on: 9th July 2020
