Stepchange made me able to breathe again after suffocating with my debt

I woke up one morning with that dreaded feeling of my phone going off constantly all day AGAIN being hounded by debt collectors. I couldn't cope much longer and felt like I was suffocating with this debt. I couldn't keep up with the payments, my health deteriorated quickly and severely and i couldn't see a way out. My GP recommended i speak to Stepchange and they were amazing , helped me from that very first phone call , set me up on my DMP so I could make affordable payments to creditors. The phone calls from my creditors stopped and now I just make my monthly payment to stepchange who divide it between creditors and I am so much happier and feel like I can breathe again. Anyone struggling with debt needs to deal with Stepchange. Their customer service has always been spot on and always so helpful when you call for advice. Reviewed on: 9th July 2020
