The only people I’d recommend with debt

I was terrified of my debt and when I turned to Stepchange I wasn’t sure what to expect. What I got was kind, constructive and positive support when - and how - I needed it most. Also, they aren’t like the cowboys who charge you for the service. As a charity they support you without adding to your debt. I can’t praise them enough. Reviewed on: 1st May 2024

So understanding.

Being in debt is worrying and plucking up the courage to admit there is a problem is big. StepChange made me feel safe for the first time in years. I felt stupid/ they put me at my ease. I was worried: they showed me a way out of my persistent debt. They were everything I needed and gave me confidence that a similar provider did not. Reviewed on: 9th July 2020
