Fantastic insurer. Perfect for my needs and good value for money.

A friend of mine found this insurer for me a few years ago and I was sceptical as had never heard of them and hadn’t heard only an insurer charge based on how much you drive. My partner is the main driver so I just drive to and from work and small journeys so this way of paying works perfectly for me. Also being able to check on the location and health of my car on the app during the day is great. The customer service has always been brilliant. I honestly couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Fair and friendly company that has saved me £1000's on my car insurance so far...!

I joined By Miles very soon after they first started up in 2018. Before this point I was paying at least £1000 for my car insurance every year and this just didn't seem to be going down despite years of no claims. I stumbled upon By Miles and at first was understandably worried that they were a brand new company however after speaking with an adviser I just couldn't fault the concept of only paying for the miles that I drive. I have been with By Miles now ever since and have changed address twice, had work done on my car meaning the tracker had to be removed and each time I had to speak to an adviser about these, the service was always highly efficient and friendly! I also recommended a friend and so was rewarded with £50 in free mileage (which lasted me months!). Also, the app is fantastic, it tells you where you car is currently, alerts you of any health warnings on your vehicle (which informed me that I needed a new battery during lock down) and it is an easy way to check your mileage charges and payments regularly. I truly cannot fault By Miles car insurance. I don't plan to use any other company now unless I suddenly have to start driving hundreds of miles a day. For a regular driver that wants easy and fair car insurance with an excellent customer service offering- By Miles is the way to go! Reviewed on: 30th July 2020
