Saved thousands on my car

I decided to look at bank loans as an alternative to Hire Purchase for my next car and Santander (via Cahoot) came back on Money Saving Expert as 95% chance of acceptance. I was still antsy because I know that doesn’t guarantee any particular rate but I was fortunate to be accepted at their lowest rate of 2.8%. The application process did feel a bit dated but I was after a decent loan, not a fancy interface. I was accepted within minutes, very late on a Friday night, with the rate confirmed via email. I received my confirmation code in the post on Tuesday, entered online Tuesday afternoon and received the funds Wednesday morning. All in all, the process went exactly as advertised and - over the same term - I’ve saved in the region of £3,000 compared to the Hire Purchase agreements on offer. Effortless and rewarding

Renewed this year at a cheaper price than last year for the same car, same circumstance, same level NCD - I’ve never had that from any other insurance company before. Easy decision and simple to renew. Also received some genuinely good mailers in the first year - just occasional emails with tips/updates to do with motoring in general. Can’t recommend By Miles highly enough - in an ideal scenario, insurance should be money for “nothing”, but I I’m glad to say it takes the sting out a lot when the service is so good and the pricing is fair, transparent and rewarding. Innovative and fair

The first time I haven’t completely begrudged insurance... I could almost say I even enjoyed registering! Really innovative approach, excellently implemented, well supported and, in my opinion, entirely fair. I don’t know how well it suits high mileage drivers but for me doing low miles, particularly in the current climate, it is saving me a significant sum and its the first time I haven’t felt completely ripped off by insurance.
