My son now sees the point in mowing the lawn

The Nimbl card has genuinely helped my 14 year old appreciate the value of money, and more importantly that effort on his part can earn it. Previously, doing chores racked up nebulous credits which we tried to keep on track of, and bought him what he chose when we all vaguely thought he had accumulated enough - but it was still us dispensing largesse from the parental money tree. Now he sees the direct connection between what he earns and what his buying power is, keeps on track of it to the penny and finds the financial autonomy really motivating.
