Switching to Triodos is the Best financial decision I have

I had been wanting to change to an ethical bank for a number of years. After a fair bit of research Triodos seemed to be the one that fitted my hopes best. However as someone who had not changed bank in over 30 years I was extremely anxious .My experiences with my old bank had been extremely good personally, but I knew that for many communities in other parts of the world it had lots of negative aspects not least on the environment. I was worried that there was no physical bank and that I would find it difficult having to do all my banking on line. I need not have worried. The customer service via the telephone has been fantastic. Amazingly I have found the phone app brilliant too Really easy to use accessible and well laid out.But best of all I now have total confidence that I am not contributing to any of the deeply negative aspects of more traditional banks and that my money is now working for the greater good with no negative impacts on the world. Finally when I go shopping I use my debit card with pride. I now know that a great bank with great personal service can be a force for good. Reviewed on: 14th February 2021
