Review of the Starling Bank, Current Account:

A great online account

I have been with Starling for over 5 years and the bank has improved its services year after year. Any problems I have had (and to be honest have been caused by myself) are dealt with quickly by the customer service team. The App is excellent and they keep it fresh by improving it every year. I particularly like the icons and backgrounds that can be changed with the seasons. It’s nice to see snow when you are checking your balance. It’s easy to set up savings pots to which you can even add a ‘virtual debit card’ to make payments from. You can also set up direct debits to be paid from savings pots. I have never had any problems with the App, I’ve never been unable to make payments and I am very happy with both the service I have received and the feeling of confidence I have with the bank. A new bank for a new generation.

Since the moment I downloaded the Starling App I have continually been impressed with Starling. You can freeze your debit card, organise your finances and set money aside into a savings pot. These are things UK banks are just starting to offer. Help is almost instant for when you need it and everything works very smoothly indeed. Other things that have been introduced are business accounts and joint accounts and these are just a few of the implementations over the last couple of years. I have stopped using HSBC and I’ll never go back to the old, boring and stuffy traditional UK banks. Starling is fantastic. Reviewed on: 17th February 2021
