Best banking I know of

While opening the account proved a little bit difficult for me as an immigrant, Triodos did help along the way and explain all that needed explaining in a clear, factual, kind and understanding fashion. Since then, I have practically always been pleasantly surprised. While their online banking system is a bit Linux and Tor incompatible, that is the only negative thing I can think about. Their banking is informative, transparent, efficient and as ethical as banking gets in the most capitalistic country in the world. Their customer service is absolutely excellent. All queries and issues I have had have been explained, addressed and resolved within the day: there are no endless queues, no excuses, they always take responsibility and they always take charge. Furthermore, their colleagues and personnel are more than polite. They are friendly without exception, even in a neighbourly way. While I would personally welcome actual branches you could go to keep online banking at a minimum, this is a minor issue, since their online banking is the safest I have ever experienced (although, as stated, it could use more Tor/Linux compatibility).
