Recently opened an ISA account. The process, despite requiring manual paper forms, was easy enough and account opened next day. An obvious improvement would be to allow for online registration. I don't mind walking down the branch and handing in forms now, whilst stuck working from home locally. But if I was in the office and with little free time that would put me off opening an account. The staff I have spoken to have been friendly. But, I wasn't overly keen on the pay-in details being confirmed over the phone. These would be best confirmed in writing via email or post. Luckily the details match those seen on official company literature so no worry from me in sending payment. Rates offered on the ISA, along with the bonus if getting a mortgage with Vernon BS are very competitive. So, I would reccomend for that reason (if I knew anyone else who lived in the area!).
