I stumbled upon Chip when I was looking for a good savings account to build up an emergency fund. The reviews were already good then and, after doing some calculation, I found that for the amount I'd like to save up, the 1.25% bonus from Chip will still heavily outweigh the current average savings account rate despite the £5000 cap and account fee! No hassle, none of that "first-time customer" bait, just plain, fair terms. And the automation is just great! I really like that Chip's AI, after studying my account history, just knows when and how much to pinch off into the saving's account and does it automagically, just letting me know by mail that it's made a save. It's really satisfying and a joy to see money being saved up without having to remember to do it. I'm definitely hooked and definitely interested to see what else they can offer in terms of further investments, what with the upcoming ChipX platform! Reviewed on: 10th March 2021
