Review of the Ecology Building Society, Savings:

My mother (who had also previously held an Ecology ISA) and I had a joint savings account. She sadly died in the middle of last year. When I phoned to notify them and get the savings transferred to an account in my name they dealt really sympathetically and quickly to resolve the situation. They phoned me back promptly and suggested a more preferential savings account than the one I had identified. This was actually a closed account type but as a long-time customer they identified that I could access the higher rate it gave. Without that advice I would just have transferred the savings into one of the lower interest accounts available. Reviewed on: 12th March 2021
