Best and most instinctive banking experience ever

I've tried almost all the banks throughout my life. Began migrating online a few years ago. Starling has consistently come out on top in every aspect that matters to me and there is very little I can think about regarding improvement. The accessibility is excellent with easy to read layouts; colour scheme and visuals. It has a pleasant friendly feel to it which has achieved that elusive quality of feeling sincere. Simple, plain English with the most important information displayed without obscuring important details. Step by step security features that, ok, let's be honest, can feel like a hindrance but serve a vital role. A wide range of customer-control facilities, such as freezing a card; limiting types of transactions and being able to access a forgotten PIN, to keep you moving smoothly without clogging up a call centre; waiting on the postman or being embarrassed at the shops. It's happened to us all and clearly to those at Starling. You can tell it's a bank that has been lovingly created by normal people having frustrating experiences elsewhere and researching the most typical grumbles. Truly projecting the traditional banking model into the contemporary, everything about it says safe; streamlined; supportive and as a customer I feel valued. The only thing I would change is something for the whole banking sector - I would BEG them to have a facility to enable a customer to block the use of the account / card for transactions overseas / alternative currencies. I am a recovering gambling addict but the conmen are working around the traditional blocking methods by serving blocked / self-excluded Brits abroad! Starling do the most any bank can though and I can't imagine ever leaving them. Every bank should work this way. the app is superb and never a single technical issue. Top of the heap!
