Once you've Metrobank(ed), you'll never go back

With my previous bank, making transfers on their app was often so difficult it was easier to get to a branch, queue and then complete the transfer via a bank teller. With Metro Bank I can set up a savings account, effect bank transfers and make payments on my phone or iPad. Both use the phone's security features with either my face or my finger. Even lack of attention for a short period of time turns the app off requiring a new sign in. This would be a pain (the password is brutal) but with face recognition it's not so problematic. Having said all of this, on occasion, when I've set up new payments or paid a large sum to a new or old payee the bank sends me a text or an email asking me to call to confirm the payment. So I still feel looked after. And even if all of this is a problem there is an actual physical bank in town. Not super local, but easily accessible. Cannot see myself ever going back to the traditional 'high street' banks. Reviewed on: 13th April 2021
