You don't know how good or bad a bank is until there is an issue. With Metro bank you can just go into a branch and one of their staff members will take charge of your issue. I had an issue when I decided Metro bank would be my main account so the switching process wasn't straight forward. The actual switch took a month however the Metro bank staff member I first spoke to took ownership of my problem and worked to resolve it. He then turned around to ask me why I wasn't cross with Metro bank. I pointed out I left my own current account provider, a building society, because no staff would take ownership to resolve issues. Likewise I love the fact that if my card stops working as it is worn out I can go into a store and get a new one, rather than risk it being stolen in the post. Reviewed on: 13th April 2021
