A great way to get kids into saving

This is a great app and way to help your kids learn to save. The cards are managed on the app, and you can set up different ‘jars’ with them. It can be as simple as a ‘spending’ and a ‘saving’ jar, and you can add others to help them save up for things. You can link their card to the spending one and restrict the savings one. It’s a great way to help them learn how to save and be aware of spending for later life. With a bit of planning, it’s perfectly possible to get by entirely on the free tier. Great Way to Manage Kids and Saving Pots

We’ve been using HyperJar for a while now and have found it a really easy, fun way to introduce the kids to money, without a monthly fee. Everything is managed through the app, including PINs, spending abroad, or blocking a card when it’s been misplaced! Using the concept of jars is easy for kids to understand, and they love being able to move money to their savings jars, or back again when it’s time to spend! It’s easy to add jars for specific things, like saving for a goal or keeping money aside for school bus fares, so they can get into budgeting and managing their money really easily. It all works for us adults too and, with no monthly fees, I’d highly recommend giving it a go. Reviewed on: 6th April 2023

A great way to help kids save

We struggled with getting the kids to save and manage money better. Then we found Rooster Money and easily added goals that they wanted to save for. They became motivated to do chores and boost their pots to add to their savings for these goals. Suddenly, they were thinking about whether they really did want to spend some of their pocket money on something now, when they could see the impact it would have on their goals.
