Increased my payments when I only enquired re claim

My car was damaged last year and I called Admiral to ask about the process and what I should do. In the end I decided to settle with the other party, but Admiral bumped my monthly payments up. I asked them why and they said it was based on the ‘potential claim’ even though I had already called them and told them to cancel this as I wouldn’t be pursuing it. Left them right away.
