A safe hand to hold when re-entering world of credit

Re-entering the world of credit was a little scary after the experience of a Debt Relief Order, but I knew that I needed to take the plunge and take a credit card to improve my credit rating. Zopa first of all took me on as a high risk customer and then gave me the tools to manage my credit. The card, the app and the general support have been excellent and I couldn't recommend highly enough! Reviewed on: 15th January 2025

Simple. Easy. Safe.

After a period where credit wasn't possible, Zopa have made it relatively easy for me to gain credit safely and start to rebuild my credit rating. The ability to also have a buffer that can be reserved for emergencies is also really useful, meaning that I stop using the credit card when it reaches my personal limit but still have a little bit extra I can dip into on rare occasions where I might need a little more. Simple, yet powerful

It all starts at the beginning. One of the simplest bank sign up procedures I have ever been through. It's slick, it's simple, but you know exactly what's going on. The card arrives (and that process is great too) then you have complete control in the app. One of my favourite things is the safety net. It's great having a bigger limit for those rare times you need it, but being able to spend it on the credit card doesn't always match your ability to be able to pay it back quickly. The safety net gives me that peace of mind that the ability to spend is there if I need it, but I'm less likely to get my self into financial difficulty. Very comforting when I've been there before.
