Every 20 years a new upstart gets it right.

Back in the day the birth of telephone banking was followed by Internet banks. EGG, IF bank etc was born they got it right, they understood customers, big threat to bricks branches. Instead of the big banks improving they purchased the upstarts and destroyed them. Starling reminded me of these days and I voted with my money and left the bank I was forced to be with. Excellent bank, no issues, partner followed me after a bad experience with her bank of 30 years. She now tells people to join starling. We have joint account linked too. Daughter has emergency card we can drop money in for her. Excellent all round bank. Reviewed on: 18th April 2021
