Thank you Step Change!*

Before finding out about Step Change my life was so miserable. I constantly worried about my horrendous debts and couldn't sleep at night, due to turning things over and over in my head. I was terrified about what my husband would say, if he found out what was going on. He already had health problems and I feared hearing about how much I owed would only make him worse. I knew nothing about my options and genuinly believed, I would be sent to prison. Or bailiffs would turn up and strip the house bare. Thanks to Step Change, I managed to set up a DMP and have now been paying off my debts for the past 2 years. It is such a relief to me and I no longer have the constant worry of how much I owe. Yes, I have to be on a budget to pay my DMP every month. But it is no where near as tough as when I was juggling one credit card after another, just to make the minimum payments every month.
