Trust and use without concern for a better life

When debt repayment reached £1100 per month, effectively my entire income, out of my mind with worry, contacted stepchange. After a brief chat and answered a few questions, the lady came back and asked , 'could you repay £249.00 per month, my reply was ,' dear god I would love to pay £240.00 a month',. Accepting that I had made an unholy mess of my finances, and brought misery to my family, I handed my problems to step change and have never looked back. Reviewed on: 2nd May 2024

Amazing people doing a great job.

A cut in hours lost me half of my income, subsequent loss of government support cut what was left by around one third. I continued paying bills and debts in the hope of finding a solution but none came, savings gone I decided to follow the banks own advice and contacted stepchange, although some trepidation remained, after just one phone call the worries faded away, affordable payments were arranged, and now I have a basic but worry-free financial existence. All I can offer is thanks but that they have in abundance. Reviewed on: 22nd July 2021
