The most amazing people..

StepChange is so much more than a debt management charity. StepChange is a collection of Britain's finest. Every member of the team treats you with respect and kindness. They reassure you in your darkest hour and they listen to you when you are in floods of tears and can see no end to your troubles. They counsel you just by having a calm approach to your unique personal circumstances and they MAKE it personal - they truly make you feel as though you are the only client they have to deal with that day. That you are the only one who matters. And every interaction is loaded with respect and professionalism. They don't react when you are angry with the world they let you rant and then they offer you a plan. A solution. I have never forgotten the words spoken to me the first time I made contact with StepChange over 6 years ago. I think she may have been called Pauline but if I have forgotten her name I haven't forgotten what she said. "Don't worry anymore pet, we are going to build a brick wall between you and the banks and they won't be able to reach you unless they come through us". I cried, but then my life changed. I had a lot of debt. I still do. But with their help my debt has been filed into it's rightful place in my head and it is being dealt with quietly and efficiently and each month the end is closer. I sleep well and I have a happy life knowing that they are there to help if I need them. To the people of StepChange - you have no idea how you changed my life into something meaningful again and I will always, always recommend you to people who look as desperate as I looked all those years ago.
