I was drowning in debt, just about managing to make the minimum payments but the interest meant that I wasn’t scratching the surface of the balance. Finally out of desperation I contacted StepChange, within an hour I felt like a huge wait was lifted from my shoulders. They contacted my creditors, the interest stopped and my debt began to reduce. Just over 2 years in and I have about 5 months left before the balance is clear and I’m debt free.
