Won't go near a Barclays ever again

Very unhelpful, both in person, on the phone, and online. Promised information never arrived. Impossible to find out anything online, made to go through hoops - catch 22 hoops in my case as they hadn't sent me the information I needed to answer their security questions. In-branch is entirely inappropriate environment for doing ANY banking - business or private - with staff avoiding you, no queuing system, and then you confidential financial details discussed loudly in the open ... Review of the TSB, Classic Plus Account:

Easy signup, everything works, good interest

Heard TSB are offering 5% interest on first £5k in account, provided you pay in £500 a month. Signup was all online, as easy as any bank signup could be, really. Only glitch I think was finding out how to opt for paperless billing (you do that at first sign-in after opening the account). All paperwork and cards arrived promptly. Barely used the account so far but the signup was painless. Reviewed on: 28th March 2016
