My experience...

l very rarely give full marks,because l feel there is allways room for improvement. They have so far done a good job. and l could recommend them, but as you know unless some one is in very bad debt, you never say you are in a debt. As you know mine was, because l lived with a girl that l never married. That passes away and had kinow insurance for a funeral and l fellt l should pay for one. l was paying it of ok with credit cards. That was ok till the HMRC came along after l retired and you were on workers Tax Credit as a low payed worker and we payed you to much. . Two weeks after l was told l by them thay had me on the wrong tax code and l owed them money back. You have spent it. Yes i would spend it. l do not know you were giving me to much Workers tax cre4dit and you had me on the wrong tax code., the woul d only say sorry ,but you spent i it and we want it back..The amount they were taking out of my pension, put me in debt. Now Shep Change so far has, with my good manament of Money has keep my head a bove water. and l can pay my way. With out Step Change l do not know were l woulld be, not a happy person. Never let me down

very helpful and hard working people at Step change.They gave me peace of mind.. So l do not worry about the debt. that the HMRC bought on me. They had me on the wrong Tax Code. Reviewed on: 6th May 2024

Helpful

Step change staff are easy to talk to on the phone. They tell you straight what they can do or not do for you. The have given me peace of mind and kept my head above water. The other thing l like about thing l like about StepChange is the useful e-mail they send me. l say to people do not burry your in the sand and think the problem will go away, they are there to help.
