Never use this company

After dealing with these via a claims process, i can now understand why which have them at the bottom of the list of insurers. We claimed for water leak/damage, their contractors not only did bad workmanship they also cut corners, omitted away from scope and left our home unhabitable with no water, heating, kitchen, electrics. This is on-going with ombudsman but they have decided to make 2 nhs key workers, 2 kids (1 with autism) homeless by cutting our accomodation. They have took no responsibility for the issues, instead of hiring independent surveys they sent their network. Claire Griffin case manager has zero customer service skills, is aggressive and has a major lack of empathy, I have no idea how they got a customer facing role. I have emailed their CEO, Local MP, Newspapers as this behavior from such a huge business is discusting. I urge everyone to stand clear of Hastings Insurance. Reviewed on: 9th October 2026

Home Insurance claim for flood.

Home Insurance claim for flood. Had to be relocated and their offers of how much to give for alternative accommodation are a joke. Despite sending them proof and 3-4 properties in the area higher than their offer they refuse to give more funding. Our home was unhabitable and we are covered for accommodation but they refuse to go into the budget more. They are a joke and want you to be in the cheapest house possible even if its dirty and infested. Stay clear of claiming with these as you will lose the will to live. Reviewed on: 27th May 2026

Best ever

Easy to set up and by far works out cheapest ever. Don’t always use my car especially when Covid hit and worked from home. Couldn’t rate these enough so easy and well priced. Recommend for anyone Reviewed on: 4th August 2021
