Wish I found them sooner

The pandemic caused me (like so many) to lose my work and income. As I went on universal credit, I was unable to make my debt repayments. As my payment holiday ended from the bank, the pandemic still hadn’t ended meaning I was in, what felt like, financial hell. I didn’t know that a debt solutions plan was possible until I spoke to payplan. They have been supportive and the process was surprisingly simple, I really wish i’d done this sooner as so much weight has been lifted from me and my mental health has really become more steady and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, even though it’s a long way off, it feels good to be realistically working towards it. I don’t feel like I will spiral into further debt now because of the payment plan that’s set up, and having someone to advise me / answer questions etc. Reviewed on: 11th August 2021
