Best value customisable cover there is.

I wasn't able to find a policy that provided the theft and liability cover I was after. All.otuer policies seems to he geared towards high value bikes. While.mine was a mere £700 that is a lot to me and something I can't afford to write off or replace if my bike was stolen. As a commuter I also wanted some liability cover should I ever be unfortunate enough to be involved in a collision and any blame was laid at my door. Cycle plan not only provide this but I could customise my cover and not only that, it was great value. The process was also silky smooth as is the auto renew as I don't even bother looking for comparative cover elsewhere now. Reviewed on: 2nd July 2020

Tailor made insurance for your own needs

One of the easiest and best value customisable cycle policies I found. Tailoring, setting up and paying for my policy was very very easy and one of the best value on the market that I found. I've not had to claim yet which is the true test of any insurance companies customer service but so far so good. Reviewed on: 29th August 2018

Did alright by me...

Had a spill and while not major did a few quids worth of damage. My bike was collected by a specialst bike recovery agent at the roadside with no dramas. I wish I had gone with the recommended repairer though. I insisted on staying local with the main dealer which was accommodated but they added items to the bill that wern't fitted and took an age and basically lied. Hastings took this up after I reported it to them which helped keep my claim down. All in all customer service only really matters when you need it and Hastings did alright. They don't get a 10 because of the charges they add for moving house or when you change bikes mid policy. On this front they are robbing gits. On renewal after my claim they wernt the cheapest but 12 months later they are again so I am back with them. As a side with any policy see what your quote is without declaring security devices and even see what it's like when parked on the drive instead of garaged. It didn't make too much difference to me and it leaves them less chance to find a get out if your bike is nicked. Friends experienced this when he got the bike out the garage and left it at the front while got ready to ride. In less than 10mins the bike was nicked and with no security fitted (about to ride it) and it not in the garage as declared has had a nightmare with the insurance company - thus wasn't Hastings but is made as a general point to consider. Love the emergency cover

Great value and love the free home emergency cover. Had cause to use this twice, once for blocked drain and again for a faulty boiler. Both times the matter was resolved hassle free and very promptly. As this was a bolt on service these claims didn't effect my no claims at renewal either. Reviewed on: 24th August 2017

Customise your policy to your needs

I always think customer service only really matters when things go wrong. That said Cycle Plan was easy to set up, easy to customise and provided clear terms about my policy. They also provided the best value for money in this market. Reviewed on: 24th August 2017
