Extremely honest and responsive

We recently had to make our first home insurance claim in 20 years when a pipe burst. They were fast, efficient, and paid up within a week. Frustratingly, when they re-quoted at the end of the policy they were extremely uncompetitive, and as a result we left them. Strangely they didn't even want to negotiate on the price, despite being 60% higher than others. Reviewed on: 12th June 2015

Fairly reliable, but fairly unexceptional

Been with these guys since I was a kid. Their on-line self-serve is....average - fairly unambitious, their interest rates are...average, they send me a reasonable amount of junk mail which goes straight in the junk. No major mistakes in 25 years but they run away like a terrified squirrel if you ask them to intervene in a dispute with a vendor. If they were food they'd be a cheese sandwich.
