Apart from the technically sound advice and thorough assessment of options, the stand out feature of my dealings with PayPlan is the care shown by everyone with whom I have had dealings. Nothing is rushed, no judgments are made, no tempers lost, no frustration shown; just a display of empathy and sympathy - and technical competence. Reviewed on: 15th June 2023

The shoulder you lean on when in dire straits

What the do - provide debt solutions to people who have fallen on hard times - is as important as how they do it. It is the calm, patient and empathetic approach of nearly everyone who works in customer-facing roles which is the gold dust in PayPlan's service. My financial troubles were caused by a number of factors coalescing in the most unfortunate way for me; they were all out of my control and shattered my self-confidence, inducing overwhelming anxiety, desperation and dark, dark thoughts. The days between scheduling the appointment and the appointment were fraught with apprehension but then the phone call came. From the moment identity checks were made and the conversation started, it felt like I was talking to someone on my side, who wasn't judging and was there to understand and help resolve the problem. For this culture of non-judgmental helpfulness alone, PayPlan deserve the consumer award. Reviewed on: 23rd August 2021
