Our ceiling came through due to an escape of water. The issue was a loose internal waste pipe. They rejected our claim blaming sealant. We submit a plumbers report and two months later they agree we are covered. They come assess and take away damaged furniture only then to decide we actually aren’t covered and an internal waste pipe that you cannot see is wear and tear and wouldn’t be covered. They have left me for 3 months with a hole in the roof no carpet and damaged goods. Not only this, they never rang me when they were supposed to, the company Sedgwick were rude and unhelpful and I got the genuine impression that their business model is to not pay out at all. They were unable to make a conclusive decision for 3 months whereas if they had been competent I could have resolved the issue myself. I have been told that there’s no point in appealing as they will not go back on this. I think admiral are a disgrace, the most incompetent insurer I have ever had the displeasure of using and cannot believe they have been placed forward for any award. Reviewed on: 11th September 2021
