Review of the Admiral, Car insurance:

When every other insurer would not help, Admiral stepped up.

I returned to Britain in 2000 after living in Spain for many years and driving a Spanish registered car. The car was still insured by linea directa, the Spanish branch of Direct Line. On seeking to re-register the car in the UK the car first had to be insured by a UK insurer. NOT ONE INSURER, INCLUDING DIRECT LINE WOULD HELP until I asked Admiral who gave me an initial 4 weeks insurance, sufficient to get all else done.
